What is it about intense workouts that make us mentally calm? Joe Rogan has some interesting thoughts to share.

“The people that I know that have the hardest time keeping it together emotionally are the people who don’t work out.”

There’s nothing quite like intense, challenging workouts for channeling aggression and making everything else in your life okay. If you can find a way to dig up your anger and channel it into pushing yourself past the point where you want to quit, you not only find an outlet for your anger and feel better emotionally afterwards, but you also get a heck of a workout.

Sometimes you have to drop the barbell hard, yell, make noise… Who cares if people think you’re trying to be tough or get attention? If you’re doing it for the right reasons, it’s about you and what you have to do to release the pent up emotions and stop yourself from going crazy from all the crazy stuff going on in your life.
